Kathryn began her yoga journey in early 2015. She is an aggressive athlete who focuses on HIIT, lifting weights, and playing soccer. Yoga started out as a way to stretch and cool down after vigorous work out routines. Kathryn was surprised to find yoga was far more than stretching and was amazed at the feeling of peace and balance she found. It quickly shifted to a regular practice and soon after she enrolled in the Yoga Teacher Training at Community Yoga led by Jacqueline Allen-Magers and Betsy Totty in 2016.
Kathryn is currently working in a fast-paced emergency department. Being surrounded by Western medicine has also sparked a passion for Ayurvedic medicine, focusing on health from a holistic approach rather than treating the physical symptoms of a disease.
Yoga has taught Kathryn how to be more mindful in everyday activities. It has also helped create a passion for living more harmoniously with her environment. She teaches in hopes of helping people find more joy in life and more harmony within themselves and with their surroundings.
