Sandra’s yoga journey began twenty-six years ago in Columbus, Ohio, with a phenomenal teacher who teaches to this day! The past repeats itself where, since moving to Lafayette, Indiana, her experience with Community Yoga has been nothing short of transcendent.
She has been a journeyer her entire life and is often inspired by spirit and learning new traditions that help her optimize living. Yoga has been a life-optimizing tool for her. Community Yoga’s emphasis on community and dedication to its role as an accessible (to everyone) transformational practice is the perfect home for her to begin her new yoga teaching journey, having recently earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification at Community Yoga under Jacqueline and Betsy Totty.
A teacher at heart anyway, she moved to the area to teach and research with graduate and undergraduate students here at Purdue University. It is a fortunate set of circumstances that allows her to commence teaching Yin Yoga at Community Yoga. Yin Yoga is a simple practice, that uses poses to get into the body (https://yinyoga.com). Our intention is to aim for maximum wholeness and joy.
