Jacqueline Allen-Magers

C-IAYT, E-RYT500, YACEP, CPT

Jacqueline has a heart for helping people.  She has owned Community Yoga since 2014 and puts her heart and soul into the studio and growing the community with a depth that’s unlike other studios in the area.  She graduated from Purdue University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial science and statistics. Although she has had an interest in yoga ever since she was a child, her interest continued to grow into a passion that she feels blessed to share. Jacqueline’s self-study began at a young age, but progressed into professional training beginning in 2005. She has studied many areas of healthy living, including yoga, pilates and many forms of fitness styles. In 2010, Jacqueline earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification at Invoke Yoga and Pilates with teachers Eric Bryant and Ahna Hoke. Since then she has completed the Yoga of 12 Step Recovery Leadership Training, her 500-hour teacher training with Rolf Gates, a 500-hour teacher training as well as yoga therapy training with Gary Kraftsow.  She is now studying Ayurveda to continue to further health and wellness from a mind and body union perspective.  Jacqueline loves the opportunity to help her students find their own inner strength and cultivate awareness. She loves to share a wide array of practices to meet individual needs from very therapeutic applications to strong physically demanding practices and everything in between.  She is committed to the growth and integration of body, mind and spirit. She hopes to help students incorporate practice into their daily life and to make better healthy lifestyle choices. Students who attend Jacqueline’s classes feel an overall sense of refreshment, peace, gratitude and strength both inside and out.  She truly loves sharing the healing effects of yoga with everyone that can benefit from them.  Yoga changed the path of her life and she hopes to help you find ways to allow yoga to support you.
