Yoga Therapy for Stress
Join Jacqueline for an 8 week workshop where you’ll learn yoga therapy tools for helping to manage stress. Yoga has many tools that help you physically, mentally, emotionally, and physiologically address stress as it happens and how you react to it. We will learn about the stress response, how it affects the body and the mind and we will learn tools to help reduce levels of suffering from stress. Each week this series will build. You’ll receive practices to do and take home and you’ll be asked to check in and report how your stress perceptions change over the 8 weeks.

Yoga Basics Workshop
This workshop is intended to take the intimidation out of trying something new. This course will give you plenty of space to ask questions and will help you build community with other new practitioners. In class we will introduce you to several of the classical yoga postures and give you a brief overview of the deeper dimensions of yoga. We will demonstrate each posture, teach you how to use props and help you find a variation that fits your body type and strength level. Beginners and anyone looking to get back to the basics is welcome.

Each quarter our book club reads a book and then comes together for a workshop applying what we read, enjoying each other’s company, and learning.

2:00 – 2:20 Welcome and a summary of questions generated during reading
2:30 – 3:30 A documentary or educational discussion
3:30 – 4:15 An asana practice related to the book discussion
4:30 – 5:00 Open discussion about the book and the educational topic/how to be happy in your life [and snacks]

Embody Yoga: a Workshop for Teens and In-betweens
A two hour workshop for girls that will focus on embodying inner strength, mindfulness, positive self image/body image, and connection with other like-minded girls. This class will incorporate a physical practice as well as a discussion time.

Power of the Psoas
There is just one muscle group in the human body linking the upper and lower half, the psoas major, the epitome of “core” muscles. This 2 part workshop will include discussion in why the psoas and our hips are so important (physically and energetically) and a sequence designed to release the psoas bringing new freedom, ease, and structural integrity to your yoga practice.
