Community Yoga offers an inclusive, welcoming space for the practice of yoga. It is our goal to make this practice accessible by keeping the costs of group practice and private sessions low. We strive to foster a community of yoga practitioners dedicated to participation and involvement in the greater Lafayette area of Indiana. We hope you will join us.
At Community Yoga we believe in the physical benefits of a regular asana, pranayama and meditation practice. We partner with our students as they work to maintain and manage issues of weight and health.
We also believe that regular yoga practice has the power to transform lives in important emotional and spiritual ways. We work to bring the deeper dimensions of yoga to our students not only through our weekly classes, but also through special courses, workshops and retreats.
Please take a look through the pages of our website and contact us with any questions or comments. We are happy to help!
We look forward to sharing a practice with you soon.
A few things to know before your first class:
Bring Your Own Mat
A mat is an important part of yoga practice and we encourage practitioners to have their own. We are happy to offer suggestions about acquiring one if you have questions. We do have a few mats available on a first come first served basis. We have plenty of blocks, blankets and straps available for your use.
Class Etiquette
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of class so that you are set up and ready to go on time. Out of respect for our students we start and end classes as scheduled.
Class Sign-up and Payment:
Community Yoga utilizes the online software MindBody to make it easy for you to sign up and pay online. Take a minute to create your account! We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover online. You are also welcome to drop-in to any class. In the studio we accept cash or checks.
New Student Form
Before you can take classes at Community Yoga, you need to fill out a New Student Form. We will have them for you, or you can save yourself some time by printing one here, filling it out and bringing it with you.
